User Guide
Welcome to the Eye Drop Assistant! This guide will walk you through scheduling and managing your medication.
Getting Started
After installing the add-on, open Google Calendar. You will find the Eye Drop Assistant icon (💧) in the right-hand sidebar. Click it to open the main interface.
Scheduling Modes
The add-on offers two powerful scheduling modes:
1. Static Schedule
This mode is for creating a schedule with a fixed number of doses per day for a set duration.
- How to use: Select "Static Schedule", enter the number of "Times per day", and the "Duration (Days)".
- Result: The add-on will create events evenly spaced between your selected "Start Time" and "Stop Time" for the number of days you specified.
2. Sliding Taper
This mode automates a standard 7-week tapering protocol, which is common for post-operative care. The schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: Hourly
- Week 2: 6 times per day
- Week 3: 5 times per day
- Week 4: 4 times per day
- Week 5: 3 times per day
- Week 6: 2 times per day
- Week 7: 1 time per day
You can also extend the final "1x/day" phase by entering a number in the "Extend '1x/day' by (weeks)" field.
Removing a Schedule
To safely remove all events associated with a medication:
- Enter the exact same "Eye Drop Name" you used when creating the schedule.
- Select the correct calendar.
- Click the "Remove Events" button. You will be asked to confirm before deletion.
This action is safe and will only delete events that were created by this add-on for that specific medication name.
